Example 5: Dual Port Corrugated Feed Horn

Our antenna testing services were used to evaluate this dual band feed horn (designed by Paul Wade W1GHZ) for amateur radio satellite use. It has orthogonal feeds for two bands, 5.8 GHz and 10.4 GHz. Testing was done in one large sweep of 5 – 12 GHz (in 25 MHz steps) to save on setup costs, while still covering all frequencies of interest. Standard E and H plane polar plots are shown below.
