This sample report features a feedhorn antenna, evaluated with our 2D polar patterns at standard resolution (2 degree steps).
Background: This dual band (5.8 and 10.35 GHz) corrugated feedhorn was designed by Paul Wade. As a feedhorn for a parabolic “dish”, it is designed for low gain, constant illumination (over the dish aperture) and low sidelobes (to reduce thermal noise pickup). The polar plots show this nicely at the design frequencies, even with the compromise of two bands.
Our test report includes graphs of gain vs frequency, as well as our interactive variable frequency polar plots. As always, all data is provided in Excel spreadsheet format, allowing for additional plots and post-analysis. The results spreadsheet can be downloaded HERE.
